Awesome finds on eBay!

So! Jia Yee started me on the craze to find crap to buy on eBay again!!

hello kitty frames twitter

She tweeted that she ordered a pair of Hello Kitty spectacle frames from eBay then I was struck by a brilliant idea. Idea But first, I tell you story…

I hate my specs now. They are frumpy and brown (God knows why I chose this colour instead of the pink… I was deluded into thinking it could “blend in” with my skin colour WTF no chance unless I’m Jamaican) and boring and don’t do much for me lookswise. While I’d like to wear contact lenses full time, sometimes I like a break from them when it’s gonna be a long and tiring day or when I wake up late and am in a hurry to get to class. I’ve been looking for a new pair of glasses, and a black and pink Roxy pair caught my eye.

That’s all good and well but… what if… I could order a pair of super cute and fun Hello Kitty spectacle frames… and then get them fitted with real prescription lenses?!??! Then I could wear my Hello Kitty glasses all the time and be all kawaii and unique and I wouldn’t mind wearing spectacles that much!

It’s honestly not hard to find Hello Kitty spectacle frames on eBay. It’s not hard to find anything on eBay. I just opened www.ebay.com.my and searched “Hello Kitty spectacles”, a chimpanzee also can do this. Monkey Yes him. So I scrolled through all the results pages and I was shocked at how cheap the Hello Kitty spectacle frames were!! For the basic usual design, black with whiskers and a red bow, you can get as cheap as RM11 with free shipping! Surprise China stuff are great like that!

But I don’t want the totally Hello Kitty kind cause I feel it’s a bit too childish, especially for someone who’s going to Uni to become a future lawyer So I’m choosing one that has no whiskers but only a pink bow! Big Grin I could only find one seller selling this particular design at a flat rate of RM24/pair with useless lenses and free shipping also.

heart eyes So many different designs, really rambang mata man!!

I showed the frames to my sister and she says she also wants to order one pair for herself! She’s 25. And a dentist. LOL so you don’t say I need to grow up ah!! I am a perfectly adequate 18 year old acting my age Whistling My sister said that I need the original frames’ lenses in order for the optical shop to be able to cut the real prescription lenses using a machine? So I’m gonna order with play lenses just to be safe. And gonna go enquire at an optical shop before I actually buy it too.

After that I’m really in the mood to find more cheap shit on eBay liao LOLOL cause it’s so addictive and you find the best stuff man!! I scrolled through my blog’s wishlist for some inspiration… cause these are things I already wanted and therefore not impulse buys Angel Searched around eBay and found 2 other things I want to buy!

The first are nail art brushes! I have been using the same 1 crummy nail art brush for all my nail designs since form 5 and I just never got around to buying myself a new one even though I know I need it. Turns out eBay doesn’t sell individual nail art brushes but in sets of 3, 5, 10, 15 pcs etc. And I found this 15 piece set!

Omg impressive, so many different types of brushes and even a dotting tool too!! Drooling Dunno what are those big fan brushes for but I don’t care. 1 nail art brush in stores like Naga Nail ranges from RM8-12 I think depending on the size and quality. Not too bad la, the RM8 one is enough for me cause I’m cheapskate like that grin

BUT, this seller on eBay is selling all these 15 nail art brushes for a grand total of… wait for it… wait for it… seriously you’re gonna be fucking shocked… so I build more suspense first… RM8.50!!!!!!!!!! That’s right!!!! Just a little over 50 sen/brush WTF?!??! kisiao How is that not daylight robbery!!?! And with free shipping too (I only bother looking at stuff that has free shipping). Seriously, WHAT DID I TELL YOU. CHINA IS CRAZY AWESOME. And eBay is da bomb. After I buy these from eBay Imma go to Naga Nail and show off and be all like “NAH NAH YOUR RM10 NAIL ART BRUSH CAN STICK UP MY ASS, I BOUGHT ALL 15 OF THESE FOR RM8.50 FROM EBAY” while rubbing my eBay nail art brushes in the store clerk’s face peanut butter jelly time HAHAHAHH ok maybe not later I get arrested. I cannot be my own lawyer yet.

Got pink also heart eyes but from a different seller and add 10 more ringgit… I MIGHT just get the pink one LOL. Cause it’s still cheap mah. eBay is a great place to find cheap nail art tools, all my rhinestones, pearls, anything 3D I stick on my nails are from there and also my nail polish colour palettes.

And the third thing I decided to buy is a Velcro Bumpit! Or 2 actually. I first knew about Bumpits years ago from Super Kawaii Mama’s blog when she did a tutorial on how to use them and then I saw them selling in Singapore Watsons last year. Chio and all, but still, not reached the maximum level of convenience or comfort yet! The results are a bit unnatural and requires a lot of hairspray to keep it in place.

I then got to know about VELCRO Bumpits when watching www.clicknetwork.tv ‘s Tried and Tested show on Hair Tools where the host Shu An reviewed the Velcro Bumpit.

Watch the video to know what it does; it’s also a really useful video all around for girls who are sick of plain hair! Or just skip to 6:30 if you don’t think you’ll be interested in the rest. I was damn blown away man it’s like magic and the result is GORJUZ!!!

So I went hunting for them but Penang cannot find Angry I found them in a Sinma in KL, RM7.90 for 1 big one and RM9.90 for 2 medium ones if not mistaken. Still a bit reluctant to buy, you know why? Cause I feel they damn cheat money. The Velcro on these Bumpits SO STINGY just one TINY STRIP of Velcro across the Bumpit, how to hold and secure my huge and thick hair I ask you?!? At wits end Nah maybe after I rip out some of my hair then it’ll work ish. Sure whole thing fall apart one, I take the RM7.90 go buy strawberry pudding aulait at Chatime also better. Okay so put back and move on.

Now I tell you about the one I found on eBay. It’s RM11.90 (free shipping goes without saying) for 1 big one and 1 smaller one. And these Velcro Bumpits are awesome in my opinion. Wanna know why? I show you the picture from the eBay page.

Look closely, each Bumpit is ENTIRELY COVERED IN VELCRO. Three thumbs up!!! thumbs upthumbs upthumbs up I don’t have 3 thumbs but with emoji anything is possible! It’s definitely gonna do a hell of a lot better job clinging onto my hair than the 1 measly little strip type sold in Sinma. So happy I tell ya! And RM11.90 I think is an okay price for it since it’s reusable and all. Reuse until I old and balding also can! But the sponge probably hen chou till kingdom come liao by then Sick HAHA.

Every time I say Bumpit reminds me of armpit la… I can’t be the only who finds the word armpit hilarious right!! tears of laughter

Seriously, I love you eBay. Help me find ways to spend money I don’t have. stressed out But on very good bargains better than those I can find in any shops. Dancing I love you long time!!! Love Struck All in all, this eBay window shopping spree was VELI GOOT. VELI GOOT INDEED. clap Now need to wait till I have some money then start ordering away!! I seriously need to get a part time job when I move to KL. Praying There’s no where I can be able to finance all my shopping urges and fulfill my wishlist on just my monthly allowance alone.

I used to think eBay was some shady place where people got conned out of their life savings. dead How wrong I was!! Well, you still do kinda get conned… but willingly and for cheap things, is that not a good deal or what! ^_^
